The School of Mines Rugby Football Club went out with all guns blazing against Queen City B Side. The team was fired up and ready to play. The way they played the game was fast and ferocious, it seemed as though the opposition didn't know what hit them. With the score 17-0 at half-time, the team finished the job by scoring another 23 points in the second half. The final score was 40-0 Mines Rugby.

The forwards dominated every aspect of the game, except for line-outs where the team did extremely poorly. Numerous times during the game the forwards raised the standard of Rugby by achieving 6 and 7 phase ball.

The backline finished the job by scoring off 80% of their opportunities. Fantastic efforts by Boyfriend, Heater and PrettyBoy enabled the backline to add some flare by dominating all aspects of the game - defensively and offensively.
